Former ‘Grease’ Star Shares His Stimulus Check With Grocery Store Employees

Barry Pearl, an actor who’s known best for his role in ‘Grease’, stopped by his neighborhood market last week, not to pick up his groceries but rather to pay tribute to the essential grocery store employees.

Wearing a face mask and a pair of protective gloves, Pearl walked around the grocery store thanking each employee for their hard work, handing them each $10.00.

“This is from my wife and me for all the hard work you do very very well,” Barry says as he approaches each employee. Many employees reported that Pearl’s gesture meant a lot, especially during this time. The grocery store manager, Ruben Gonzalez says, “We don’t even get a thanks sometimes. It means a lot.”

Pearl says that the wad of cash he distributed came directly from the $836 stimulus check that he had recently received, plus a little extra that he contributed. He tells workers it’s, “a little something from our hearts. Wish it could be more.”

While the amount given to each employee may seem trivial, his message of appreciation for each of the workers was heard loud and clear. If you’re in a position to share right now, consider sharing a portion or all of your stimulus with those who might need it during this time. And don’t forget to thank essential workers for the hard work they are doing!

Are you looking for a way to make an impact during this crisis? Join the movement and pledge to use your stimulus check to make a difference!
